Electric Wizard

Electric Wizard hails from an alternate universe where entropy has frozen the air into a thick, slushy substance through which sound slithers like a snake through honey. Notes hang in the air forever and I'm not being that hyperbolic here: these guys definitely come from the 1970's school of "sustain + sustain = sustain." You'll swear that there are only two notes played during the first two-and-a-half minutes of the opening track "Return Trip," and you might be right.

The band dedicates this masterpiece to "Marijuana, for her bottomless well of inspiration." The band's scorched Earth policy regarding brain cells is further evidenced in the lyrics, the druggy, ominous sound, and the photo of the back cover, in which main man Jus Osborn looks too stoned to hold his eyes open.
